Two club members get married!!!

Nick Mason & Rachel Mason Ginn got married in Mesa on October 10, 2021 surrounded by their closest friends and family.... including some fellow Landis tri club members! Rachel says,

"For Nick and myself, our wedding was not only a celebration of our love for each other, but also a celebration of the love we have for our family and friends. We cannot thank everyone enough for not only making our big day so special, but for being a part of our lives and making us who we are today. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together, and are very grateful to have you with us for the journey."
Congratulations to Kendra for completing her first tri!

Tempe Tri Club member and Ironman athlete, Kayla Ihrig, gets married
Kayla Ihrig married Chris Boynton on July 24, 2021. They were married in Washington state surrounded by Landis family members. Our very own Irondad, Dean Alford, officiated the wedding. Landis members, Hallie and Rachel, were also in attendance to help the couple celebrate.
Kayla met both Dean and Hallie through Landis and they, like many, have become family. Rachel and Kayla bonded through triathlon training and she too was in the wedding. Kayla says her wedding was small and having a few Landis friends there was so important to her. Kayla is grateful for all the love and support from the Landis club leading up to the wedding.

Nelsene Alford shares about husband's unique Ironman experience
Sometimes it’s overwhelming how wonderful your life is. Yesterday, Dean completed an Ironman race. Not a sponsored one with supplied aid stations and a paid announcer (2020 strikes again)but one where his amazing friends came out and swam with him, biked with him, and ran with him from 6 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. One where friends manned and supplied aid stations along the way with nutrition and hydration that had worked for them on their journeys. One where adults and children played in the street awaiting his next circle around to our aid station in the front yard just to cheer him on with applause, cowbells, and homemade signs. It’s touching to know there are friends that have formed a circle around his life cheering for him in a year without races to achieve his goal. There was a swag bag, a medal, photos and a megaphone with an announcer proclaiming, “Deal Alford, you are an Ironman!” I’m blessed to be a tiny part of his journey and a witness to the love and support of his amazing friends!
